Summer is coming up! It’s my favourite season of the year, so you know I’m really excited about it. There’s something you just can’t beat about hot sunny days, ice cream at the swimming pool, and late-night walks with your friends while it’s still a nice warm temperature.
In the lead-up to summer, I am frequently visiting the best podiatrist Cheltenham has to offer. I have pretty bad feet, which means I require a lot of different shoe and toe inserts and compression socks and all of those fancy little products to try and fix them. This isn’t a problem in winter, when I wear bulky shoes that provide enough space for the products to easily slip in. It also saves me from having to explain what each of them are to my friends. However, now that summer is almost here, I am going to have to have my foot products on full display.
I know I shouldn’t be embarrassed, but it is a little bit annoying having friends and strangers look at my feet and wonder what is going on. I told this to my podiatrist and she suggested I try orthoheel sandals this summer. These are sandals that can be made custom, semi-custom or even totally generic, but are ultimately designed to complete all of the tasks that other foot products can do. For example, instead of wearing orthotics inserts, I can simply wear the sandals, because their soles are moulded using the same shape that the inserts would have been.
I really like this suggestion from my podiatrist! It means that I’ll be able to go to the beach without looking like a total weirdo with all my bulky pads and orthotic inserts strapped to my regular sandals with tape. My friends are already starting to talk about what activities we’re going to do this summer. First up, the beach! I’m so incredibly excited!
