As the owner of one of Australia’s most successful businesses, there are a lot of things I have to think about every day. I know you probably think it’s fine since I make a lot of money, but it can honestly get pretty stressful sometimes. I am responsible for thousands of people, and every decision I make can have millions of dollars worth of consequences.
Still, there are some parts of the job that can be a bit more fun. I am currently in the process of commissioning a renovation project on our main office block, and I’m getting most of the employees in the head office to voice their opinions. I figured that’s a good idea since they are the ones who are working in the space. One of the employees actually directed me to another reputable company who is meant to be one of the most established commercial glass tinting firms in the Melbourne CBD, and said that they can get the company a great deal on glass tinting.
It’s meant to be a really good option for businesses, as it’s both cost effective and environmentally friendly. Tinting office windows can help to block out UV rays, and also keeps the space cooler without having to turn on air conditioning. Not to mention, it’s a great option when it comes to privacy for board members, since I know they don’t like having their conversations seen by random employees who happen to be walking past.
This glass company even said they could do something called glass frosting decorations, which is where they put designs on the glass. This can be a way to obscure the glass and make it more opaque, but it can also just be a great way to add a bit of fun to the office. I would have just gone for something boring like a logo design, but my employees have made some great suggestions about fun and beautiful symbols and pictures that we can add to the glass.
