Welcome to our site! My name is Chester Theodore Smith, and if you’ve stumbled across this site then you’ve probably met me riding past your small town or suburb on my dad’s old bike. He used to love this thing, rode it all around the little slice of regional Australia where we grew up. 

One thing my dad always talked about was taking it around the whole country – “coast-to-coast, end-to-end”, he’d always say to us as we sat around the bonfire on those chilly winter nights. Nothing got Dad talking like a bonfire!

Unfortunately, old Dad never got that chance – he got sick about ten years ago. While we still got a good few years with him, and he got to meet his grandkids before he left us, his sickness knocked him off his bike pretty quick, and he never did get to cycle around Australia like he always dreamed of.

As we were packing up Dad’s stuff, I found his bike in the shed. So now I’m picking up Dad’s dream where he left it, doing my tour of this beautiful country and seeing all the sights Dad had mapped out for himself on his vision board. I’m also doing my best to raise a bit of money for medical research as I go – which is where you come in!
