Welcome to the Cycle Wall! Here, we feature three selfless riders each month on are on missions to raise funds for a variety of good causes.
This month’s awesome fundraising riders are:
Betty English
Betty was inspired by this very website to create her own charity campaign, encouraging Australians to follow her incredible ride from Sydney to Melbourne over two gruelling weeks. You can follow Betty’s progress live (seriously, how cool is that?) as she rides along the Great Ocean Road, enjoying the scenery and sweating the hours away. Make sure to donate to this wonderful cause, with all proceeds going toward children battling cancer. As a childhood cancer survivor herself, Betty is extremely passionate about making kids doing it tough smile again.
Jason Everet
Do you want to follow a truly remarkable cycle ride and help raise money for the blind at the same time? Jason may only be riding from Hastings to Rosebud, but the twist is that he’s doing it on a unicycle! That’s certainly one of the most ambitious adventures we’ve seen on Ted Cycles – and the site’s namesake did a ride around the entire country! We strongly encourage everybody to check out Jason’s preparation on social media and donate to the fantastic cause while you’re at it.
Eden and Cleo Barkley
We know, this one is technically two people, but these girls are riding on one bicycle (or should we call it a lesbi-cycle?) so we figured it could fit into one slot on the Cycle Wall. Eden and Cleo have decided to do something untraditional to celebrate their first anniversary, cycling together from Koo Wee Rup to Geelong. Forget the anniversary of paper – this year is all about the anniversary of sweat! How romantic! All funds raised from Enen and Cleo’s ride will go straight toward LGBTQIA+ youth.
